Purpose

ShiftPearls is a personal reflection and learning tool for healthcare professionals. It helps you record memorable shifts, consider your experience and choose a small action to try next time. It is not a medical device, clinical decision-support system, diagnostic or treatment service, electronic health record, or legally required training portfolio.

Responsible use

Do not enter patient-identifying information, confidential employer information, or content you are not authorized to process. Follow your workplace policies. You are responsible for reviewing recordings, transcripts, AI-assisted drafts and both sides of a sharing card before sending, saving or exporting them.

Transcription and AI output can omit, mishear or invent information. AI suggestions do not establish what happened, verify your competence, or replace professional judgment. Do not rely on ShiftPearls for patient care, emergency response, diagnosis or treatment decisions. Use your approved clinical systems, policies and supervision for those purposes.

Your journal and sharing

You retain responsibility for your content and choose which optional processing features to use. Reflections and personal memory are stored locally in this version; the app does not offer account-based cloud sync. Deleting the app or losing access to the device can result in data loss. Export records you wish to retain.

Sharing creates local images and an interactive HTML file. The recipient or service you select controls any shared copy. Static images cannot preserve interactive flip gestures. Only share material you have reviewed and are authorized to disclose.

Pro subscriptions

ShiftPearls Pro is offered as monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions. No lifetime purchase is offered. The App Store purchase sheet shows the price, billing period and any applicable offer before you confirm a purchase. Prices may vary by region.

Payment and subscription management are handled by Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Restore Purchases is available in ShiftPearls Settings. Cancellation and refund requests are handled through Apple; eligibility is determined by Apple and applicable consumer rules.

Availability and changes

Network features depend on internet access and third-party services. They may be unavailable or change. You can continue using supported local entry and review features when optional AI services are unavailable. App updates may change features; the applicable purchase information is presented before purchase.

Read the Privacy Policy for information about local storage, optional processing, sharing and subscriptions. The Support page provides troubleshooting and data-management steps. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
